Tenuta Settecani (Cantina Settecani) is the kind of place that feels born from the landscape and the people at the same time. It starts in 1923, when 48 farmers from the towns around Castelvetro chose cooperation over going alone—laying the foundation for what would become one of the area’s enduring wine institutions.
A century later, that same idea remains intact: a big family made up of families, making decisions together and pushing the work forward without losing the human scale that built it in the first place.

At the center of everything is one local emblem—Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOP—described as round, full-bodied, crisp, and deeply rooted in the everyday table culture of the province.

Location

The cellar sits in the hamlet of Settecani, right on the border between Castelvetro, Castelnuovo Rangone, and Spilamberto, in the heart of the Grasparossa zone.
This is a gentle geography of hills, castles, and vineyard lines—a place where farming routines move with the seasons and where traditions are described as passed down from one generation to the next.

Winemaking & Philosophy

Settecani’s identity is cooperation, but the goal is singular: reach the best possible Lambrusco Grasparossa through careful selection of grapes, attentive vinification, and the use of modern technology without breaking from traditional methods.
That “progress without forcing” philosophy also appears in their sustainability framing. The winery highlights the V.I.V.A. certification, obtained in 2016, positioning it as a measured evaluation of impact across air, water, wine, and territory.
