Caro Maestro
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot. A wine that tells, year after year, the diversities of each harvest. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand and in a box, between August and September, respecting the natural ripening of the different varieties.
Winemaking process
Fermented in stainless steel. Aged in stainless steel plus 24 months in barriques (oak barrels). (Also: Guyot pruning; vertical trellis/espalier training.)
Tasting notes
Deep and very balanced, with a tannin of exemplary elegance and a savory, lingering finish that suggests it will evolve well over time. A wine of great substance and depth—elegant, unmistakable on the nose for its intense spiciness: a Bordeaux-style wine made rich yet measured, not opulent; powerful but never heavy—rather, smooth, juicy, and flowing.
Food pairings
Caro Maestro pairs well with lamb dishes, boiled meats, veal kidney, duck à l’orange, roast game, and more generally with meat dishes with an intense flavor.
