This wine reflects Sardinia’s sunny Mediterranean climate and granite/limestone soils, showing both bold fruit and herbal complexity.
Winemaking process
This wine is made from hand-harvested Cannonau grapes grown in Sardinia’s Monti area. After fermentation on skins to extract color, aroma, and tannin, the wine is matured (typically in stainless steel with optional short oak influence) to retain fresh fruit character with balanced structure. The emphasis is on expressing varietal purity and Mediterranean terroir without heavy oak dominance.
Tasting notes
The wine shows intense ruby-red color with aromas of blackberry, bramble, and blackcurrant accompanied by hints of pepper, thyme, and spice. On the palate it is dry and medium-bodied, with harmonic fruit weight, soft fine tannins, and a round, lingering finish typical of Cannonau.
